A placement exam required for students seeking enrollment in Rasmussen College, the Student Entrance Placement Test (STEP) evaluates a student's competency in English, math and reading. Located in five states, Rasmussen College offers six degree programs that can be completed either on campus or online. Students who want to take the STEP exam online need to first complete the school's enrollment process, and then contact their program manager to schedule a test time.
Step 1
Complete and submit your enrollment application to Rasmussen College. Pay your application fee when submitting your application. The college will then assign a program manager to help you complete the enrollment process.
Step 2
Contact your program manager to schedule a time take the STEP. Your program manager will provide you with the user ID number and password that will allow you to log on to take the exam. After setting a test date, the program manager will email you a link that will allow you to take the STEP.
Step 3
Log on and enter your user ID and password to begin taking the STEP. You have three days to take the exam after you receive the STEP email from your program manager. The exam will take between 1.5 and 2 hours to complete.
