Rhode Island College
Situated on a 180-acre campus in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence, Rhode Island, Rhode Island College offers extensive teacher training at the bachelor's, master's and doctorate levels. Undergraduate disciplines include degrees in special education, early childhood education, elementary education and secondary education, in addition to degrees in technology education, health education and physical education. On the master's level, degrees in elementary education, special education and teaching/learning education are conferred in addition to degrees in reading, health education, and educational leadership. On the doctorate level, students may pursue their Ph.D. in education through a joint program with the University of Rhode Island.

Saint Joseph's College of Maine
Study abroad, independent study, interdisciplinary studies and field work are among the approaches Saint Joseph's College takes toward teaching and learning. Located in Standish, Maine, the private Roman Catholic college is eighteen miles from Portland. Undergraduate degrees in education, english, mathematics, history, literature and American culture and physical education are among the majors offered for students seeking a career in teaching. College now offers an online only master of science in education program for current teachers and administrators.

Central Connecticut State University
Located in New Britain, Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University offers an extensive education program covering majors in elementary and secondary education.
