Chaco sandals are made for adventure by a green-friendly company based in Paonia, Colorado. The company is also dedicated to helping charitable organizations worldwide with its recycle program.
Chaco footwear can be purchased at more than 1,500 retail outlets worldwide. The Paonia, Colorado-based company partners with participating retailers to offer a 20 percent discount on a new pair of Chaco sandals for trade-ins of used, clean footwear.
Chaco collects the donated shoes, cleans them up and sends them to charitable organizations for distribution. More than 4,000 pair of shoes have been donated since 2004.
The Chaco Recycle Program supports the dZi Foundation, helping individuals and communities in the Himalayan region; The H.O.P.E. Project hurricane relief effort of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana; and the Beads for Education, Advancement, Development and Success of African women and girls.
